Lauren and Matthew couldn’t have picked a more idyllic setting on a more beautiful Santa Barbara day to celebrate their wedding with family and friends. The whole intimate affair was on a lush private family estate in Santa Barbara. After a heartwarming outdoor ceremony, the guests were treated to specialty cocktails chosen by the couple – Appletinis and Chocolate Martinis. Also, a lovely selection of passed hors d’oeuvres kept the tummys from grumbling while family pictures were taken and the guests mingled. Since most of the guests were family and close personal friends of the family, one got the sense that this was also a family reunion with lots of animated chatter and laughter.
Once the dining space was ready, we invited the guests around to the the back garden for dinner and dancing. The menu was robust with carved to order New York Sirloin with Horseradish and Cabernet Sauce, Herb Roasted Chicken with Lemon Thyme Jus, Sun-dried Tomato and Artichoke Pasta, Roasted Asparagus Spears, Classic Caesar Salad, and Blue Cheese and Walnut Salad with Champagne Vinaigrette. The servers offered both red and white wines to the guests during dinner and poured a lovely sparkling wine for the Champagne Toast after the guests were seated and enjoying the feast.
Videographer Daniel Burket and Photographer Nancy Neil were both fantastic at capturing both the touching and funny moments of the evening.
Christine Dahl couldn’t have made a more stunning and decidedly decadent cake to be displayed in the gazebo!
Cana Flowers created a magical oasis with opulent hydrangea, woody reeds, pine cones, and delicate votive candles hanging daintily off the top of the centerpieces. Discount Party Rentals, as always, did an outstanding job partnering with us to choose the linens and chivari chairs to complete the design. DJ Mike Briones set the mood with romantic background symbols for facebook music during dinner and then later, high spirited tunes to get everyone out of their seats and dancing. Our catering team cleaned up and was ready to leave an hour after the party officially ended, but the family were still whooping it up on the dance floor! We left them there still twirling under the stars. What a wonderful time for everyone and congratulations again to Lauren and Matthew. We wish you a lifetime of happiness together.
